''I finished The Forest Lover by Susan Vreeland. It’s wonderful historical fiction. The book is about Emily Carr, a Canadian artist. Her one goal in life was to maintain a record of cultural points in the Pacific Northwest such as totem poles and the unique colors of the forests. I picked up this book for three reasons. My knowledge about the Pacific Northwest is small at best. I also love to read the lives of artists. Thirdly, I love books written by Susan Vreeland. I have enjoyed this book immensely.
