Monica and Sean meet in a school class room. Monica is the school teacher. Sean is the father of Roman her star or pet pupil. From the very first meeting there is a chemistry between the two people. Really, these two people are so strong SECRETS ON LAKE DRIVE by TINA MARTIN needed no other characters to move them along except for Roman. I do think without Roman these two people would have been just two boring, ordinary lovers.
SECRETS ON LAKE DRIVE is about two lonely people who find the best love and enough love to carry them through the roughest of times. Yes, there are secrets on Lake Drive. Those secrets are so powerful I wondered whether the two could make it over the mountain of secrets that really seemed like lies. Tina Martin proves in her novel when love is true nothing can drive it away. Whatever stands between two people will slowly drift away like fog because the love is so deep. Also, the support of other people helps the lovers too. In the novel there is Keisha. She is Monica's best friend. Monica likes her because she always has some sort of advice to offer her when the worse situations happen. She is always available too. There is also Vikki, Sean's mother, Sean's two other brothers, Derrick and Warren. I have to admit for a long time Warren seemed the best one of the brothers. He is sturdy as a rock. His emotions don't tumble around like clothes in a dryer. Sean's emotions were up, down, all around and scrambled. Really, for a while he scared me. I think he scared Monica too. By the way the brothers are triplets. Then, there is Nikki, the sister. Of course, there is Roman, Mr. Sweet Guy. He's a sweetheart. Immediately he wants Monica for his mom. He calls her mommy. There is also Shanelle, ex-wife with the big mouth.
I have to go back to Sean. Although Sean is really, really handsome. He bugged me. He doesn't have friends. His brothers are his friends. He is truly possessive. "Clingy" is the word used by Tina Martin, the author. Throughout the book, I kept wanting to say "go away, Sean. Disappear for like two hours. Go away." He would have totally smothered me. I thought Sean suffered with mental problems. The word "bipolar" is mentioned. Not from the standpoint of Sean suffering with it but in another context. There are lots of times like this one. "I wasn't up for fussing tonight. I would have apologized a thousand times over if it would save me from an argument." Because when you got in it with Sean it was like a never ending dark tunnel.
What really shocked me is how long it took before he made love to Monica. Unbelievable. All the hot kisses and nothing further. I thought this guy has real problemos. At the same time it's the waiting for all that hot love that made me really like the book. The first page didn't start with I'm on you, for you and want you. There is so much depth to this novel. It takes you to the top of the wonderful novel scale and never lets you down. It leaves you up there trembling. Hoping you don't free fall when secrets begin to burst open on Lake Drive. However, I did free fall. Totally shocked, totally. Tina Martin

The book sounds interesting. I like reading about other people's dramas so my own don't seem so days of our lives.
Not outside of the United States.
Left comment on your blog. This was U.S. contest only. Maybe next time if you're in the United States. Have a great day.
