Theme / Trees

A Lancaster County Christmas by Suzanne Woods Fisher

"Winter always had an ability to make a body feel insignificant before the awesome forces of nature. It had been dark a good half hour when she heart a strange noise. With the wind blowing hard enough to peel the bark off trees, Mattie thought it had peeled something loose off the house."

Awesome photo! The book sounds like one I would love. Great choice on your snippet - I could feel the cold. New follower.

Oh wow - that sounds like a real winter indeed. Would be alright if you were curled up in front of the fire with a good book though!

Strong winds that can tear down trees.. How scary. I would not want to put myself in the midst of an angry gust of wind.
