Good Night Glitter
N) When The Waltons came on television, I loved to watch that show. The idea of a family living up in the Appalacians seemed nice. I would watch it every Thursday night. I liked Livie. Of course, her Baptist ways could get on my nerves. I liked John and Grandpa a bunch. Grandpa was naturally funny while John was laid back and didn't give a heck what people thought about his ways. I remember one show where he explained his way of believing in God. In so many words John said he didn't need to go to church. He experienced God every time he walked out on the mountain and looked at God's creation. When he did attend church for whatever reason, the whole congregation was shocked. Their shock showed on their faces.
Besides loving the whole family I liked the voices saying goodnight at the end of the show: Good night Jim Bob, good night Mary Elizabeth, good night John Boy and on and on and....until the last light was put out. I guess the best way for me to end is with a good night.
