(Y)Year

Y) A year goes by so quickly. When I was a little girl, I used the word Christmas for year. One seemed as long as the other one. Now Christmas and the end of the year fly by as quickly as a flying saucer. It's amazing how many experiences can happen in just one year: Babies are born. Wars are started. Well people become ill. A baby learns to walk all by herself. Three hundred sixty-five days are a lot of days. Why should I complain about not having enough time? I am ashamed of myself. Obviously, next year I need to learn a bit about time management. Time is so precious. In one year I could learn to paint, write, dance or hook a rug. I mustn't blame time for my shortcomings. Time is almost holy.

CALEB'S CROSSING BY GERALDINE BROOKS.

"Makepeace, too, felt the weight of responsibility. His faith, as ever, instructed him to bear God's will without complaint. When we wept, he prayed. But this time his body proved less mighty than his will, so that his very skin broke into canker sores and his hair commenced to fall out in small clumps. teaser-tuesdays
