Whitney Houston Poems For Whitney by DT Pollard

Sadly, this poetry book about one of our most loved singers is very short. However, each poem is poignant. D T Pollard writes about fame. Fame is a hard task master. Is it ever possible to live happily and fully with it? He also beams in on an important fact. No matter how we clothe it Whitney Houston had struggles. She was never dishonest with the public. Her battles, her prayers became a part of our lives as we hoped for recovery in every area of her life. After reading the poems about Whitney Houston, I felt very sober. She gave so much to us. In the end how much did she gain for herself?

"There is no respite anywhere with cameras, video and more
What happens anywhere can be
everywhere in the blink of an eye"
